Although instructions are limited, this timer doesn't deserve a bad review. For $15, you get a device that lets you go on vacation and not worry about lighting your plants. The timer works as it should. Yes, you can only turn each light on and off once every 24 hours, but at the price you would expect. I set moonlight to 12 hours a day and daylight to 8 hours a day. If I put the daylight in the middle I get 2 o'clock moon, then 8 o'clock p.m. and then 2 o'clock moon. Set and forget. I won't retell the instructions, read other reviews, but remember, start with and turn off the lights when you set the timer. First set the clock and then the two lights. If you turn off the light when it's actually on, or turn it on when it's actually off, the timer won't change it until the next scheduled time. In other words, the timer blocks the light switch, but only when the next set time comes.
