Bought this purse for bags. My pet nuisance has a bottomless wallet, I have to spend 5 minutes digging to find what I need. External back pocket with zip, front pocket with snap button closure. It has two large compartments, both with external zips. There is also a small inner zip pocket on the back. The front part has two open pockets. I put 2 granola bars in one open pocket and hand sanitizer in the other. The front flap pocket fits well in my medium sized smartphone and credit card holder. ----For me, that front flap pocket was key. I didn't want to unpack anything to get at one of these items. The backpack straps fit well enough, I'm 5-8 years old and 180 pounds. A note that I didn't understand beforehand, but in the summer it gets hot and sweaty between the backpack and the back. The non-deal breaker just didn't anticipate it. I find the hand strap practical and comfortable. Information for the seller, honestly I wanted a smaller backpack with the same number of pockets (shorter). But I am happy with this purchase. It's been less than a week for me. I will update if I have problems.
