Let me say up front that this is my first and only razor. I have nothing to compare The price is acceptable and the quality is there, but I found two minuses. The blade holder is very light as it is MADE OF ALUMINUM AND NOT STEEL LIKE THE HANDLE. It might be a preference, but I felt that while I could shave with it, it took away my confidence when the blade was grinding. This allows the blade to glide across the skin instead of skidding, which made a beginner like me nervous. The plastic insert is quite difficult to remove/insert. I fixed this by widening the holder slightly to loosen the fit, so it's working pretty well now. But when it did, the hard pull required made me feel like I was going to snap an insert that didn't seem to stand up to rough use. Just a note for those interested, these razors easily shave an entire head of hair EVEN without prior trimming. That's why I bought it and can confirm that it works without problems without any creams.
