Review on 👾 Purple Monster Puppet: Mesmerizing Ventriloquist Delight! by Adam Allard

I bought this puppet for an audition (and hopefully as a rehearsal prop!) for a local production of an adult puppet musical. It can be difficult to find well-made dolls (but not ridiculously expensive!) and sized for adult hands, which in my experience is crucial to not injuring yourself by trying to be "expressive" when the Doll talks and talks. sings. This fits the bill perfectly. I was a little apprehensive when it arrived in a fairly flat mailer box, but as soon as I took it off the doll took shape and the fur puffed up slightly. In the mouth there is enough room for a large hand, it is firm and flexible. IT COMES WITH A METAL BAR that attaches to either wrist to operate one of the levers - not sure if that's listed in the description so glad to see it was included. The fur is long and goes quite far over the mouth so I followed the advice I read somewhere on the internet and clipped it around the upper lip so you can better see their expression and the articulation of words. It worked well and didn't affect the look at all. I borrowed my pet's rain brush to tidy up her fur a bit. Once you've smoothed down the fur for a wilder look, just shake it and it will get nice and fluffy. An added plus, as soon as I started rehearsing/playing with this doll my 4 year old son was fascinated by it and immediately started communicating directly with it and not with me. Oh doll magic!
