We bought two of these air purifiers to help us get through Oregon's wildfire season and we were very lucky to be able to get hold of them (at the time - so hard to find cleaners during fire season). We had one in the bedroom and one in the living room and they helped us breathe a lot better in our drafty apartment. The high setting is loud (like every air purifier I've ever owned!) but pushes through a TON of air. The lowest level is very quiet - we sleep normally. One downside: replacement air filters can't be shipped to California (for some reason!?). Before purchasing, make sure that replacement air filters have been shipped to you. the whole unit!
