This card reader was my choice because it had a good balance of reviews, features, and value. Photographer, I photograph events and candid shots wherever people are active. The reader allows me to get my photos straight to my iPad for quick editing and sharing or emailing if needed. Without having to wait to get back to my computer. It definitely does its job. I have used it several times. It looks like it needs to be reinserted before it's recognized, and if it stays connected but is idle it will disconnect, but never had any file transfer problems. I only use it for 5-10 minutes at a time so it's not a deal breaker. Your needs may vary. If I lost it today, yes I would buy another one. He's got a job, and I think he's doing it quite well.
