I've always been a fan of Hot Chilly ski underwear. But this item was purchased for my daughters to wear as a base layer under their soccer jersey during winter training. My kids also have an 'other' very popular brand for the base layer but prefer that material over Hot Chillys (because it's soft and not spandex). We found the pants fit true to size, but the shirts run a little small. For a 75 pound 10 year old I bought an oversized youth shirt and medium youth pants.
