Review on πŸ’¨ Fast USB 3.0 Transfer Cable for Windows PC's - Unlimited Use | Compatible with Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP | Includes Bravura Easy Computer Sync Software by Larry Simpson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Easy to use but only average transfer speed.

So the main advantage of this cable is that it is quite easy to use. You can get the software from the Plugable website or via an email they send you through Revain and the license key needs to be attached to the caliber itself. Install the software on both computers, make sure the cables are connected to the USB 3.0+ ports and at the same time follow the steps of the software and everything will be fine. I had to close it the first time and move the ports and I was fine. The software is very intuitive if you normally use Windows OS, with its general layout and functions similar to Windows/File Explorer. There are also features to completely copy your entire system to a new computer, but I'd probably just stick with the drag-and-drop feature to avoid system problems. My only complaint is that USB 3.0 transfer speeds are just average. . Large file transfers appear to be around 300-400 megabytes per second (as opposed to the gigabits or megabits per second most websites list), which is well below the *theoretical* speeds for USB 3.0 (around 640MB/s). . . To be fair to Plugable, I don't think most companies really aim for that theoretical top speed, and Plugable states on their website the overall speed they got when transferring 10GB between computers (it took about 3 minutes). However, I'm wondering how fast their USB 2.0 cable (the speeds on this cable are theoretical speeds for 2.0) that is NOT listed on their website is, and if the $10 price increase for 3.0 is really worth it. However, it's better than having to transfer to an external USB drive and then to a new computer.
