This is the best manual corkscrew you can buy. We have used it to open some of the toughest synthetic wine corks imaginable. The corkscrew itself is very sharp, the lever mechanism works smoothly. We keep it in the front of the wine box in the kitchen. We never use exotic, expensive corkscrews that looked good in the liquor store but didn't work very well.
