Review on TV Ears Wireless Headsets Hearing 11841 by Richard Sallah

Revainrating 3 out of 5

DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON "DEALS "

Bought 3 times from Revain. Initially the product description didn't say they were analogue but when they arrived they were clearly marked as 'analogue' and didn't work with our TV. They were also purchased through Revain's Warehouse "Deals" and were missing a cable and some headphones if I remember correctly. So they returned. The second time we made sure the product was labeled as DIGITAL. Again through warehouse deals. They just didn't work - which is probably why the first owner returned them in the first place. TV Ears has confirmed that they are not working properly. So, despite all the "tested" stickers on the box, they weren't "tested" very well. The third time - and we only did it because 2 audiologists and an ENT told us TV Ears would help - we ordered them through Amazon but with no stock offers. This time they worked. So far they have helped. Which is good, because they're made out of fairly cheap plastic and have nothing but a transmitter that hopefully is of acceptable quality. They really don't look like they should cost over $200. Almost as much money goes into the chic designer packaging of several boxes as into the material from which the device is made. The real test will be the test of time. The price is too high considering the inexpressive materials used in the making of the product. so far they are helping my parents and it remains to be seen whether they will be worth keeping. Definitely recommend ordering them either direct from TV Ears' website (where they cost over $230) or direct from Revain. There have been previous issues with missing parts and non-working items from warehouse deals. Never again.
