I've read in other reviews that this hole punch was defective and didn't cut a true circle regardless of the type of paper or technique used. But I ignored the warnings. Maybe you're like me and you're like, 'Oh please. This MUST be user error! Of course, that won't happen if I, as an experienced craftsman, take advantage of that!” And you smile smugly and put it in the shopping cart anyway. Oh you sweet summer child. Soon you'll be like me cutting 200 circles by hand at 2am in frustration and staring at the useless piece of plastic and metal that is the Fiskars XL hole punch. Now we are brothers in arms, you and I. We are against Fiskars and its low quality product. TL; DR: That thing is a piece of junk. Save time and money and buy another brand. Or find cheap child labor to help you cut hundreds of paper circles.
