Useful SQL Server Compact Tool: Stellar SQL Database Toolkit
The product has been very useful in repairing our databases that had become corrupted due to various reasons such as virus attacks or power failure etc..
I have not encountered any issues with this tool so far but if you are looking for an all-rounder then it may be difficult to choose between this one and some other products like Red Gate Data Differencing Tools which can do more than just data comparison only. We were able use stellar sql db tools kit when we faced problems regarding corruption while restoring backups made using different versions of MS access.
Pros
- Very easy interface
- Easy installation process without requiring too much technical knowledge.
- Can compare multiple files at once instead having separate instances running parallelly, hence increasing efficiency & time saving!
- Allows us run automated tests easily by comparing database contents before/after executing scripts.
Cons
- It is expensive compared others available out there
