These eyeglass string holders were exactly what I was looking for. The rubber end with the slit to put the eyeglass stems through keep the strap firmly in place. A little hard getting the end of the stem through, but once it is on it is easy to position as desired. Very frustrated with the type with a loop that can be tightened. They never stay tight enough and slip off the eyeglass stems. This type will stay where it is meant to be. So happy to have found them. Very sturdy and great colors. Even has a way to shorten the string to your chosen length so the glasses do not hang down too far when not being worn. Would definitely recommend and order again.
