I like to get outside in cool weather and walk/run 4-6 miles. I have them for the upper 30s and lower 40s which we have all the time. I used them straight away, my size has always been between L and XL so I usually wear XL. They fit me tight but perfect! If you have big arms, they will be very tight. I would probably go a size larger than you normally get unless you want a very tight glove. My hike the other day in 39 degree weather was great! They kept my hands warm the whole time and looked and felt amazing! I've used my phone many times to check my step count and haven't had any issues with the touchscreen, everything worked great! I'm very glad I got them and would recommend them for hiking or cycling when it's around 40 degrees. I'll wear my heavier gloves when they're around 30 or younger, but for now they're perfect!
