Addendum: I received black socks. Maybe the whites are actually cotton? Hope to learn from Hanes.Garbage and Lies. That's all I have. The product page says: 69% cotton, 27% polyester, 2% rubber, 1% nylon, 1% spandex. Current product information on the pocket: 98% polyester, 2% elastane. But that's not all. I tried on a pair anyway - after an hour of wearing in boots, the socks rolled down from all sides and fluff stuck out at the bottom. Plus, these poly/spandex socks will pick up every cat hair and speck of dust off the floor. Unlike some other reviewers, I didn't find the ankles tight at all. However, I prefer tight ankles so the socks don't slip at all. Based on cotton content, reviews, photos and intuition, this was my second choice of around 50-100 Revain socks. Obviously my "gut" is unreliable. I just want new COTTON socks. Of course, cotton has gone up in price, but I would pay more for quality and comfort. I will send them back with a note about my experience. Let's hope Hanes accepts them even if a pair has been worn. I hope companies understand that if customers can't trust product information, we leave them alone. And then complete chaos erupts.
