Building talent required

Sturdy, reliable (most of the time) product. It takes a good two hours to assemble, although I am an absolute mechanic and enjoy assembling. I think the 1/2" screws are too short as they don't connect very well. The angle of the connection is slightly offset in the sense that the holes drilled are not at the top of the bend of the coat hook but a half inch or are an inch apart, meaning you are inserting the screw from the top, where the curve on the hook touches the bolt, but instead sits slightly above the curve, meaning the curved hook touches the bolt and requires that the Bolt in the drilled hole comes up the curve slightly, not at the point of the bend. Always use the connecting bolt rule before tightening so that you give yourself freedom of action, but even this rule wasn't enough. Poor design product. I would buy again - no. Why did I collect it anyway - I needed a 2 hour challenge during a pandemic. You also need some strength to pick the clothes ha Bend them a little to make them easier to connect, or ditch the screws and buy longer ones. If I were designing it I would drill holes in the bend where it meets the post, not a half inch or an inch away from it and allow for longer screws which would then take 15 minutes to assemble. Incidentally, you cannot "tighten" the screws to put pressure on the coat hooks to straighten them, as the screws will then pop out of their slots in the rack or most likely strip the threads. Good idea, badly designed.
