As a seamstress I appreciate all sorts of little items that can be used in different ways. These little buttons are very pretty. I have a silver toned calf back. Honestly, I would NOT use them as functional buttons on clothing. Their edges are too rough and the back of the shaft is not smooth. Instead of a one-piece eyelet back, the buttons have a flat back and individual tiny eyelet backs are glued on. That's not a big problem, other than that they aren't glued consistently and evenly. Some are right in the middle, but just as many are off the edges. This makes it difficult to properly align buttons on a blouse or cardigan. For tinkering in other projects, this will not be a big problem. In general, it looks very nice, but cheaply made. But like all handicrafts, they have their own workspace.
