I always try to outdo my brother by spoiling his kids with the latest and coolest toys, so I want to thank the CLIXO team for giving me my place as "Coolest" and "Favorite" Uncle! The Best of Parents1. Easy to clean. While kids can have fun creating their own wacky inventions with all the pieces included, it's just as easy (and dare I say...fun) for my brother to rip them apart and stack them. so much faster than other construction toys that they might even feel guilty taking it apart. 2. Portability. Although they haven't had a great need for mobility due to the pandemic, he mentioned that it's pretty easy to throw them in a bag to take to grandparents. A viable alternative to screen time. They're always trying to find new ways to limit screen time and this toy was a great way to pass the time. Children invent new creations without guidance. At first I was intimidated when creating my first object other than a simple ball, and puzzled as to why I couldn't "get" it. Anyway, (pardon the pun) it finally closed as I watched the kids having fun making the most random creations even when they were nowhere near the actual object they were trying to make. I had to overcome my own mental barriers of possible failure and instead look at building as a challenge and just go for it! Although this thinking is probably too deep for children to understand, it was a turning point for me and I have recommended CLIXO to every parent I know. Enough of my personal insights... As a former engineer, I'm always trying to find ways to encourage my niece and nephew to be interested in science and explore their creativity, so I feel lucky that I stumbled upon this one while searching toys for the perfect gift.
