The collars stay on the dog and work even with ROUGH play. Know your breeds and how thick wire you need. Do you have a "STIFF" athletic dog like me? (Labs, Shorthair and Petes) There is a HEAVY DUTY STUFF wire made specifically for Petsafe. BUY IT WITH THE "PETSAFE" SYSTEM. TIP: Buy batteries and change them every 3 days for 6-8 weeks. Then change weekly.
