Edited Review: My original review is below. I loved this item when I first got it. Easy to install, worked like a charm. Then after about 1 month I had to move the switch closer to the electrical plug as it stopped turning the switch on and off. And then, about two weeks ago, he started working part-time. Just now it has completely stopped working. I put a new battery in, I thought that might be the problem. nope! Deadlier than a doornail. I'm NOT a happy tourist anymore! First Review: Sometimes I forget to remember that the house alarm is on when I'm at home and I open the back door to let the dog out - only to hear that horrible, shrill alarm tone. Scares us both half to death, not to mention hurting our ears when I run to turn off the alarm. Place this wireless remote control next to your alarm clock and connect a red light night light. So whenever I set the alarm on, I activate the remote outlet, and now there's a bright red light next to the back door to remind my aging brain that the alarm is on. A small problem with the remote control is that I couldn't open the battery compartment, but I think I can solve this mystery when the battery dies. Great product, works well, very easy to install. The alarm center is located in the hallway at the opposite end of the house, and the transmitter switches the socket on and off easily. Many thanks to Dewenwils for this product!
