Review on Panasonic SDR-H85S Standard-Definition Camcorder with 78X Zoom, 80GB HDD - Silver (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by David Perez

Bought for my 8th grade video production class on teacher's recommendation. ADVANTAGES: - Pretty good price. The teacher wanted the children to use hard disk camcorders and specifically asked them not to buy HD quality video models. Larger files put a strain on desktop computers at school. The lightweight, portable, small profile is great for students' hands and backpacks. CONS: Not noticed yet. I wasn't able to verify other reviewers' comments on the video quality. Remember, this is not an HD quality camcorder! My 8th grader won't let me near the camera :) I bought an extra class 10 SDHC card to increase storage and make it easier to move video files to the editing platform. Also use an old camera case to keep your device in decent condition.
