Review on 🚽 Korky 2021BP TOTO Toilet Repairs: Large 3-Inch Flapper - Easy Installation - Made in USA - Red (Pack of 1) by Jason Hood

Great replacement for repairing the slow leak in our Toto Drake II toilet. This valve fits perfectly and is actually much better than the original that came with the toilet. It's even branded Toto, not Korky, so Toto has to use that manufacturer for that particular part in their toilets. I'm a do-it-yourselfer so installing a toilet is an easy job and replacing the flap is no problem at all. But finding the right one was a problem. The Toto part number for the original damper that was on the parts list that came with the toilet as recently as two and a half years ago was no longer available on the Toto website or even recognized. Thanks to another review here on Revain, but for a different toilet model, I took a chance that this damper would fit. The first thing I noticed was that the damper has a slightly larger sealing surface that the original gray damper did not have. It was important. It may be that the gummy material hardens over time, but the old gray pad was stiffer and this probably meant it wasn't sealing well. This is softer and more flexible. The packaging is good in that there was no memory distortion of the product and material which would prevent it from being sealed flat. The chain is quite long; I had to lower the clip a lot to allow proper throttle lift. My old one-piece Toto Ultramax II toilet, which I installed in 2012, still has the original flap. It never leaks and is now a light pink color. I'm guessing it was one of Corky's red crackers. In any case, after seeing and installing the new Korky 2021BP on a Drake II toilet and fixing the leaks, I ordered an extra Korky dampener to have on hand if the second toilet needed repairs. A good product.
