Ever since I invested in Edison bulb lighting I've only had problems with bulbs. The bulbs my lights came with were so dull and amber that after spending several hours installing the lights I felt like taking them apart and returning them. The lighting in the store example definitely didn't look like it did in my house. I spent $120 finding the perfect lightbulbs. I realized that 60 watts with open incandescent bulbs is blinding. So I reduced it to 40 watts. I went through three temperatures before I found that 2700K was similar to the light from my lamp. I could get away with 3000k, but anything above that is the unnatural blue light of an operating room. When I decided that 40W 2700K was my way, I couldn't find a single bulb shaped like an Edison. So I had round bulbs that looked ridiculous and the fact that they cost $8 for ONE bulb. I was so scared of lightbulbs that I couldn't sleep and spent hours reading Amazon lightbulb reviews before finally deciding on them. I love her. They are perfect and affordable! What I noticed about the dimmer is that there is a slight flicker in low light, but not that much flicker, just a slight wave from lighter to darker. I agree because it's subtle.
