We use it every day to light our propane burner for our shrimp cooker every day. First thing in the morning, come rain, sun, wind or snow. This lighter is normally capable of igniting a flame. We've been using the same one for 6 months or maybe longer. We had to replace the battery. It's a good thing it lasted as the plastic isn't very durable and can break if you're not careful as some of us get off the shrimp boat. The worst thing is probably the key ring on the end. It falls apart at first, but that's easy to fix with wire. I read some reviews and they said this was just for the last time - we store ours inside as soon as we turn on the stove and that helps. If you leave it in humid air for a long time, it will start to deteriorate and you will have to put it in and let it dry again. Overall I'd say it's worth 28 bones if you can keep it dry and warm.
