However, I made the mistake of using permanent adhesive hooks to hang her sponges, unaware that they are extremely difficult to remove. I know the seller says just blow them with a hot hair dryer but that doesn't even help, even after blowing the edges hot with a butter knife for a few minutes they barely budge. I ended up using boiling water brushed with turkey fat and a dull butter knife to scrape the edges. However, it took a very long time and several pots of boiling water to remove the three I had applied. It seems to me that these hooks could probably hold over 50 pounds.
