The bowl is very pretty. It is made of thick glass and is very durable. I bought 2 and am using them for a dessert I am making for a special occasion that has multiple layers and it looks prettier when people can see the different layers so I wanted a glass bowl. .This is the perfect size for my dessert (to give you an idea of how much a bowl can hold, my dessert consists of half a pan of 13 x 9 brownies, a can of custard the size of a can of corn/peas/ etc and half a medium whisk with small chocolate chips sprinkled on top) The wave at the top gives the bowl a stylish decorative look. I would recommend buying this bowl to my friends and anyone reading this review.
