I use it in the underhood fuse box cover on my truck to signal a pair of fuse taps to a relay. I think this plug will do the job, but it requires a fairly specific oval hole, and the rubber has enough elasticity. If the wires move, I believe the entire connector will bend. I've gone the other way but for the price it would be fine if the wires were supported on either side of the bulkhead.
