Why Negative Reviews About Short Life?
OK. Every review I've seen that complained about the short lifespan didn't document how to install it. Here's the thing: don't leave your dirty fingerprints on the glass! Fingerprints on a halogen lamp can cause overheating and significantly reduce lamp life. It's not a "grandmother's story" about killing a car battery by placing it on a concrete floor. Use latex or nitrile gloves if you feel unable to open the packaging and only lift/install the bulbs while touching the base. I'm sure these lamps are great but if they suck I'll come back to update my review.
