Slightly disappointing

I had high hopes for a non-LED white from a reputable company. I previously had Hella fog lights on the front of my truck. They're definitely brighter than the bulbs I had, but now they're white. Easy to assemble but I think it also has to do with knowing my own car. I don't have much hope, but I think the search continues for a bulb that doesn't cost $60-$80 for a set that will last and has a reputable name.

Why Negative Reviews About Short Life?

OK. Every review I've seen that complained about the short lifespan didn't document how to install it. Here's the thing: don't leave your dirty fingerprints on the glass! Fingerprints on a halogen lamp can cause overheating and significantly reduce lamp life. It's not a "grandmother's story" about killing a car battery by placing it on a concrete floor. Use latex or nitrile gloves if you feel unable to open the packaging and only lift/install the bulbs while touching the base. I'm sure these…

Rescue lights for my motorcycle!

This headlamp puts out an incredible amount of light! You can hardly get away from it in high beam, especially not at the speed limit. In low beam at slower speeds than on the motorway it illuminates most of the area in front and to the side and that's more than enough and REALLY beats a standard bulb. No one blinked at me with the high beams on, suggesting that that bulb was too bright in their eyes, which initially bothered me. It draws a lot more current, but that matches the power of the…

Amazing Suzuki Bandit update

I recently bought a 1997 Suzuki Bandit with about 5000 miles on it. I've got used to the powerful white LED on my big bike and decided that after all this time the Bandit's 20+ year old bulb should be replaced. The regular exchange I lied about was neither brighter nor whiter so I ordered these Hella bulbs. wow ! An amazing difference in visibility and safety! The lamp is much brighter and whiter and has a much wider and further throw when it is at altitude. I haven't been flashed since…

Incredible value: lamps and accessories for lighting

Very good lamps. A significant improvement, especially the brightness of the low beam. I don't notice much of a difference in the high beam, although there could be a slight improvement here as well. I wouldn't say 50% brighter, although to be honest it says "up to" 50% in the description. I'd say 30%, which is pretty significant anyway. My thought when I see the word "performance". This means there will be a "dramatic" difference. It doesn't, so if I were to rate this description I would…

High quality OEM H4 bulbs at great prices

I've been using Hella 60/55w H4 bulbs on my bikes for decades and they are no different from the OEM bulbs that Honda use built into their motorcycles. Factory. The low beam is bright and fills the lane, while the high beam throws LOTS of visible light down and also illuminates the sides of my usual country roads, which is great for spotting deer and other critters before they come overhead. from you. I have used Sylvania/Osram, PIAA and others and keep coming back to these bulbs for the light…

Works great on 2005 Toyota Tacoma

Instructions for 2005 Tacoma (20-30 minutes of work). Depending on the lighting conditions, a flashlight can be helpful. Materials needed: Paper towels, contact spray, disposable gloves, new lightbulbs, a long narrow screwdriver and a 10mm socket/ratchet are optional. Do it on the driver's side first as that is the best access and knowing the procedure on the passenger side is helpful. Alternatively, you can remove the passenger side washer reservoir (two 10mm screws) to allow easy access to…

I see! Too good.

These have been very good bulbs on my 13 JKU Rubi so far, although I wouldn't use them with standard 16ga wiring. With PWM you won't even come close to realizing their full potential because of the voltage and current limitations. I switched to Hella Vision plus housings which made a huge difference with the included H4 bulb and standard wiring. For this you need an H13-H4 pigtail. I then installed the upgraded wiring harness and installed 100/80's in the Hella cases. At low levels these things
