It took me 4 pairs of shoes on Amazon to find a real size 9 that would fit my 4 year old daughter and be comfortable for her when she starts kindergarten soon. Sending back 3 pairs of shoes and disappointing my kid each time wasn't much fun and this pair was my last ditch effort before drugging them at the overpriced local shoe store. Although they are slightly larger than their other size 9 shoes, I'm glad of the extra room because I was going to buy a size 9.5 anyway, but that wasn't an option. They are neoprene on the top which rarely gets dirty and if it does get dirty it is washed off immediately. We bought black to match her outfits and because they match mine, which is important to her. She wore them for 2 days and we walked 5 miles, went to the park twice and ran countless errands. She loves them and says they are very comfortable. It is also easy to put on thanks to the Velcro fastener. I really love these shoes and am so glad we found them. We will definitely be regular customers. And in case you're wondering, these are the exact same shoes Carters sells for $30, only gray with hearts. It will be so great for preschoolers and all our walks.
