My iMac came with 8GB of RAM. I bought and installed 32GB of Adamanta RAM and my computer ran SLOWER than before the install. After a few months, the computer would crash multiple times a day and freeze every few days, requiring me to hold down the power button to turn it off so I could turn it back on. Almost every time I turned off the computer, the screen went gray, and after about ten minutes the computer turned back on and a window popped up saying "Your computer didn't turn off because of a problem." If I then press the power button again, the computer shuts down. In other words, it took more than ten minutes for the computer to shut down. I ran a series of tests that I found on the internet by turning on the computer while holding down one or the other key and one of those tests showed that the issue was memory related. So I removed the 8GB Adamanta RAM and reinstalled the old 8GB RAM that came with the computer when I bought it from Apple and now the computer runs faster, it doesn't freeze no matter how heavy the graphics load is. I put it under, it doesn't freeze, and when you turn on the computer and press the power button, the computer turns off after a few seconds. The only conclusion I can come to is that there was an adamant ram. how should I put it politely? Shit. I wasted my money buying it and I spent many hours of my time trying to figure out what was wrong.
