I have an iPad Pro. I used to use a third party app to turn my iPad into a drawing tablet. However, it was a free version, so it lacked features I thought I needed. Also, my iPad drains very quickly. I decided I didn't want to pay an annual fee to access features, so I figured buying a Wacom tablet with a display would solve my problem. I bought it fairly quickly after researching other competitors and finding that many of them had bugs and kinks that I just didn't want to deal with. In addition, Wacom is a reliable company. First, I didn't think it would be that hard without the shortcut buttons, but it's impractical to try to draw without the shortcut buttons to work with. Yes, I can put my hands on the keyboard, but being so used to using Wacom Intuos tablets and my iPad with keyboard shortcuts and fingertips, the Wacom One is actually a major drawback. Second, there are so many cables here. . It's not for those who don't like noise in cables. Third, despite all the cables, there can still be lag. When I copy my MacBook to Wacom One, it also changes the screen resolution on my MacBook, which was inconvenient. I didn't have to do this with an iPad. Fourth, I'm much more comfortable using the iPad Pro as a tablet than the Wacom One. The iPad connects almost instantly without connecting it to my MacBook via USB (it does over Wi-Fi). No cable clutter and you're done. I have almost no freezes with the iPad! The first tablet I ever had was the Wacom Intuos4 and then the Wacom Intuos Draw and I prefer it to the Wacom One because of the buttons/wheels and the fact that I've definitely never had any lag issues with them. I give a lot of credit to Wacom for finally listening to consumers and taking notice of their competitors and releasing this Wacom One that's half the price of their Cintiq line. But I sincerely think it would be worth postponing the purchase and saving up for an iPad. Or just buy a refurbished or used iPad. You will enjoy the drawing process much better.
