Review on SmallRig CCC2803 Camera Cage for Canon EOS R with Built-in Cold Shoe and Anti-Twist Design by Luis Thompson

I recently switched to an EOS R and as always needed a cage to mount my grip and field monitor. I'm assuming the one-piece CNC construction is solid. I've never liked half cages or other brands that offer two or more pieces together as they flex noticeably. In this version, the hot shoe area is lower so the bottom of the flash doesn't get bumped when I take a picture. My 6D MKii's cage was high enough to get hit and I had to push the flash up a bit. I will add my wish list for SmallRig when they change the design of this cage or when the new EOS Rii comes out. There are additional attachment points on the underside. I'm going to use a small plate as I want more stability. Besides, I really have nothing to complain about. This version is also available in 3/8" size. Arri style hole on the top which wasn't in the 6D MKii cage. Overall the design is more refined so I'm very happy with the purchase!
