Home for Xbox and Playstation.

I installed this shelf straight away so wanted to give a review while it's fresh. I've installed countless shelves, pictures, and other wall hangings, so I'm not new to the game. I really wanted to give this product 5 stars because this is a great shelf in so many ways. Unpacking revealed a very well protected shelf and hardware. Next, for the first time, the included screws were long enough to fit through the mounting bracket, drywall, and 1.5" screw in the rack. I usually bring my own mounting screws and anchors because the ones provided are usually too weak and too short. Next thing you need to know is that this is a very strong shelf and I will have no doubts about the weight of the electronics I put on the shelves. However, I wouldn't even attempt to hang this block without attaching a bolt. Not even sure why they include drywall anchors. The actual installation was pretty standard, but there were a few minor issues. If you are using conduit, you must do this before tightening the screws. However, when the cables are independent of the device, it becomes a chicken-and-egg problem as the cables are routed in a space that is inaccessible when the wall mount is fully installed. If the shelf bracket is then attached to drywall, you need to be careful with the final pressure as the screw can actually push into the mounting hole and push the drywall behind. If I had to do it again I would use a washer behind the screw for better support. Although everything I hang is done with a spirit level, there is no indication in the instructions that there is enough clearance in the shelf brackets for an uneven surface. Using the spirit level is easy by tightening the shelf supports with a hex wrench. Surprisingly, the biggest problem for me was getting screws into threaded fasteners. I finally had some relief by using a flat surface to place the hardware and drive the screw, which required 3 hands which luckily I have. :) Also, the screw caps don't fit the holes well enough to be reliable. I broke one of them trying to force it. The screws that attach the glass shelves cannot be overtightened, which is very convenient. Overall I am very happy with this device, especially compared to others. I would buy this again.
