Marmot is a premium outdoor gear company; very similar to another company with a mountain logo. I would say that while both companies are great gear makers, Marmot tends to place a little more emphasis on functionality than fashion, which I think speaks volumes about what they really focus on. And these gloves are no exception. The gloves are warm, cozy and have the performance you expect/want from winter/ski/snowboard gloves. Features include a Gore-Tex lining (the main feature), an alligator leather wrist strap, a soft stripe on the back of the thumb for that dripping nose, a reinforced palm, mantle ties, and little things like material labels attached to one piece Webbing for easy removal after purchase. Note that the palms aren't leather, which is probably the biggest downside to these gloves, although I'm not sure what to expect from sub-$100 Gore-Tex gloves. very good. You can easily spend more on high-tech gloves, or a lot less. It's a great middle ground where you know you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.
