Favorite BBQ and Pan Party at Home

I bought this hot dog roll to use on my son's third birthday to highlight the theme. As soon as it arrived I tested it immediately and when I knew it worked we put it to good use. Here are my findings: The design is very cute, very retro, and very practical. The top lid is a hinged lid that can be used to store and reheat buns when cooking hot dogs. The idea is simple. You place some buns in a box, and the heat from the cooked hot dogs rises through the sticks in the bottom of the box to warm the buns. I haven't used this feature so I don't know how well it works. As for the reel machine itself, I took care of it, so I'll look at it critically. As shown in the listing and my attached photos, you can place 8 hot dogs on the roller at a time as long as you don't purchase a "bun size". Longer dogs cannot be cooked side by side because the appliance is not wide enough. I knew this, so I bought dogs the right size to accommodate 30 guests. Knowing I was going to have so many people, I cooked a few of these dogs in my slow cooker so they were cooked and warmed through, and I finished them on a roller as needed. Why do I even need a roll when I've already welded it? For two reasons: First, nothing beats a crispy hot dog at the gas station, fresh off the commercial. That suits my taste better and that makes them so attractive in color. Secondly, it gave the party a special vibe and people just swarmed over it. This video worked EXACTLY like commercials at gas stations across the country. My dogs were light brown, even my skinny dogs were friendly to weight watchers. They all tasted better on roller skates. Pay attention to how long they lie there. Like rollerblading at the gas station, the longer the dog is there, the shriveled, wrinkled, and unappetizing it becomes. I left them in for a couple of two hours, even on the low setting, and when I noticed they were practically brown shells. Although my dog didn't mind. ;)Plus, your hot dogs will drip, so there's a drip tray. I had grease on the rollers, heating coils, drip tray and a few random splatters on the back of the unit. Incidentally, assembly is as simple as inserting plastic rods, attaching a flip cover to it, and snapping the reel and drip tray into place. Light! It took every five minutes, if that. Great device well worth the price. I would buy again and recommend.
