Review on 🎧 Black Tascam TH-02 Headphones by Mateusz Gsiewski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

Thanks to the guys from SonicSence, you can hear the degree and nature of the deviation from the original recording, whichcomntribute to the sound of about 120 pairs of earphones tested by them on the "head" Neumann KU 100. The recordings are available in 24/96 quality (you can download in this format after registering on SoundCloud: ). After listening to 120 tracks with the ears of Neumann's "Fritz", there is an understanding of how the market works in general and what a "signature" sound is in particular. It also becomes clear that the professional segment of audio equipment is dependent on the stigma of the manufacturer, marketing spells and other surroundings almost to the same extent as the amateur one. TH-02 at acomst (in the USA) of $20 gives the maximum level of timbre fidelity for this money (and for a lot more money too), especially for the key range - mid frequencies. The only reasonably priced model thatcomes even closer to the sound of the original track is the ATH-M40x. Itcomsts two or three more. Everything else is either significantly further from the reference sound, or much more expensive (tens of times). There are very few neutral-sounding headphones - only a few. Prices of $ 500-1000 and more often guarantee the presence of a "cool" stamp on the cups, and much less often - the reliability of the sound transmission. TH-02 - neutral "ears", especially in the vocal range. This is their main feature. A slight accent at 8kHz and a drawdown at 4kHz are neutralized by the equalizer settings. The result is sound you can trust.

Pros
  • Honest sound you can rely on for control.
Cons
  • Big-eared people will be cramped.
