I was very skeptical about buying this stand. I was very concerned that it wouldn't be strong enough to hold two 27" monitors vertically. God I was wrong. This stand is rock solid and won't move where I put it. As you can see from my setup, I also have a clip stand on the left for desk mounting (attached to a small wooden shelf on my wall. My desk is glass and I can't attach the clip to it). I'm willing to accept that the monitor stand in this listing is sturdier than the snap-on stand shown on the left. I'm seriously considering giving up the clip system shown on the left for another of these freestanding mounts! I like it! (I added a small shelf to cover the base of the stand for more organization and it worked great!)
