If there were a pain-free face pillow and cradle I would give five stars, but I've never found it. I feel like I've tried everything but nothing completely eliminates my facial discomfort. Most of them are pain free for the first 15-30 minutes, but the design and quality of the material makes a big difference later on. This is the least uncomfortable combo I've used to date. I can maintain a meditative state during the massage session and even fall into a wonderful sleeping state at times. Sure, it's uncomfortable when my face is pressed against the pillow an hour later, but at least it doesn't hurt enough to distract me. I can sympathize with the designers and manufacturers of these things. Obviously, designing something that eliminates facial discomfort and pain when gravity pulls on the skull and pushes skin and other facial tissues against it is not easy. The fact that it's comfortable at all is amazing.
