Bought as a two piece gift for someone and they seem to work pretty well. I haven't had them long enough to determine how long they will last but the light seems to be quite bright and with 6 of them it shouldn't be an immediate problem. One of the rating criteria is "absorbency", and if that means they don't pick up water and keep it right on the bank, they seem to work well enough, but haven't tested them with heavy sweating drinks to know for sure . Its practical downside as a shore is that it can slip on smooth glass tumblers, but seems to work well on plastic containers.
