Review on Bambo Nature Friendly Diapers Sensitive Diapering best on Disposable Diapers by Heidi Harter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Also satisfied with the diaper "New and improved "!

When I received an email from Revain at the end of December that my Bambo Subscribe and Save shipment was canceled I was confused so I did a little research and discovered that Bambo diapers were no longer available are. At the time I thought they were gone forever and I had a not-so-mild panic attack because although these diapers were expensive, they were GOLD. I paid a high price because they were eco-friendly, made from natural/safe materials and have NEVER leaked. After a period of mourning my favorite diapers, I soon switched to what I found to be the second best, Earth's Best diapers. I first found Bambo through Baby Gear Lab, which rated diapers on various criteria, and according to Bambo, the best in the world was Earth's Best (http://www.babygearlab.com/Disposable-Diaper-Reviews/BAMBO-Nature). First let me say that I really like Earth's Best diapers. They're not as soft and plush as Bambo, but wear well. We also used them overnight but had a few minor leaks. The Earth's Best are really full in the mornings even if they don't leak, while Bambo doesn't feel that heavy and full in the mornings and they never leak. During the day, however, the best on earth are in the best of order, and they've never leaked. Because of this, I feel like Bambo really isn't a necessity during the day. Not to mention that Earth's Best is a lot cheaper, especially if you subscribe to Revain and save. Okay. For those of you who want to know the difference between old and new Bambo diapers. I think when the product you use changes, you automatically go crazy. Everyone seemed to do it and so did I. At first I didn't even think of trying the new Bambo diapers, but then I decided I might as well see how they work. When I received my package I noticed a big change they were much thinner but I also realized how much softer they are than Earth's Best diapers. When I put them on my son that night, I also found that they felt and fit much better than the best in the world. But apart from being thinner, I haven't noticed any major changes in the new version. No weird smells or sensations that some people have mentioned. After the first night in the Bambo it became clear that they are MUCH better at night and I'm sure they are more comfortable for my 15 month old son. The bottom line for me is that while I love Bambo diapers (new and old) I just can't justify their cost during the day when Earth's Best is doing a great job for a lot less. Bambo works much better at night so I will continue to use it as a night diaper. I signed up to subscribe and save to Bambo which gets me (I think) 180 diapers and I send them every 6 months. So, for about $75, I can get 180 nights of diapers. Bottom line: the new Bambo nappies are as good as ever and if you're willing to spend the money these are excellent day/night nappies. However, if you want to save some money and still have an eco-friendly and natural diaper that works extremely well for your baby, try Earth's Best during the day and treat yourself to a bit of Bambo as a nighttime diaper.
