The transmission speed is very FAST; until it fails and catches fire, and your data with it!

Update (09/2018): Added pictures showing how to disassemble this drive. 1) Using a 3/8" wooden dowel, knock the inner plastic case out of the metal outer case, 2) Use a small flat head screwdriver to split the black plastic inner case (there are cutouts), 3) The circuit board is encased in a white plastic holder that inserts and pops out; to disconnect, carefully pry the retaining tabs (four) with a smaller flathead screwdriver to separate file copies); after powering on for 10-15 minutes, the temperature rose from ambient temperature (80 F). maximum 127 F. Since I received a replacement drive from Sandisk, I decided to modify the working drive to extend its life but improve around the circuit board, I drilled additional holes in the white plastic sleeve on both sides (cm. comparison photos ) and I plan to remove the rest of the drive case (black plastic and metal) This drive is used to transfer files between computers, but it doesn't leave my desk without an external case. Will be updated later if this drive fails again. Incidentally, the flash memory chip, the larger of the two, has the highest temperature; However, given the closed case and ZERO airflow, I'm sure the entire board will eventually reach thermal equilibrium, for example the entire board will be at or above 127F. RECOMMENDATION: The only thing you can do is: a) Turn off the drive when not in use, it would be particularly harmful to put a movie on it and play it for more than an hour, b) Turn off the drive onto a conductive surface or force it to cool by blowing a fan on it , NOTE: These only apply to people who have already purchased this disc. For everyone else, buy another driver that doesn't have an internal heat problem. Update (07/2018): Drive failed; neither a Windows 10 computer nor a MacBook Pro computer will recognize it. After reading the reviews, many people had problems with this drive. Pros: Good transfer speed (+100 MB/s). Tested on Dell Inspirion 8920 via USB 3.1 port (on the back of the computer). Cons: Drive gets very hot (compared to other USB sticks) when idle (no transfer, just plugged in). This drive was 17 degrees Fahrenheit above ambient (84 Fahrenheit). The metal case seems to dissipate some heat compared to the 64GB version of the plastic-cased San Disk Extreme (non-Pro), which was 24F warmer than ambient. Kingston was 8 degrees Fahrenheit above the area. And the temperature of the PNY Attache 64GB 3.0 (plastic case) was 12 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature was measured with an IR thermometer (link below).
