Extremely comfortable but squeaky

I love this chair, it's very comfortable and a huge upgrade over the Walmart POS I've used before but I'm a little worried about its durability. While I feel like it's well built, I've only had this chair for a little over a month and it has started to squeak non-stop around the hinges and where the hydraulics are attached at all times with some kind of weight, which me suggests that its structure is weakening and may be released sometime in the near future. The rated weight is 350 pounds and I weigh about 260 pounds so I'm not over the limit so I'm concerned that I feel like it's about to break. I hope I'm wrong as this is by far one of the most comfortable chairs I've had so I'm happy as long as it lasts. May 5, 2021 update pending. The hinge on the left side of the chair that connects the backrest to the seat has failed and now the backrest tilts to one side when I sit on it, making sitting uncomfortable and painful as I now sit crooked. I haven't even had a chair for 3 months and since the return window closed I'm stuck with a defective chair that I want to replace asap. So for those looking for a good chair this isn't it. I have not put any strain on this chair other than just sitting in it a few hours a day not even recline it all the way for fear it would fail otherwise and now it is already falling apart. So yes, look elsewhere for a gaming chair. 1/10 May 7th, 2021 Update Update I seem to have made a mistake in my last review update. I discovered that it wasn't the hinge that actually broke, but the back of the chair itself. The wood on the left side of the back is cracked, causing the chair to lean to one side when leaning. So yeah at first I thought it was a hardware failure but just now I realized it was a real chair I think that says something about how poor the quality of this chair is. It's a damn shame that this chair is rated at 350 pounds and breaks down after just two months of light use when I'm just under 260 pounds. Bought the Secret Labs Titan as a replacement, which is what I should have done in the first place and would recommend anyone reading this review to do the same.

  • Great selection
Cons
