I have this in all my salt water tanks (one tank only, two reef tanks) and it does a great job of keeping the water clean, no removal of nutrients from the water. I have it in a small nano and a large 100 gallon mixed reef and both tanks are crystal clear. I don't use a skimmer in any of these tanks, I just change the Fritz every three to four months. With regular water changes, the tanks work almost automatically. Corals (LPS/Soft/Multiple SPS) show strong growth. Two bubble-tipped anemones also do well. A++ Fritz, A++!
