This is a classic case of "you get what you pay for" and I expected nothing less. I bought these for my 1 year old son because I couldn't find any sandals from his brother. Due to a one year old's ever growing legs I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I went in search of something economical. I was also looking for something black. Black hides most of the dirt and goes with most outfits. I was pleasantly happy when I found these sandals. They survived the summer and looked cute with both sporty outfits and typical summer clothes. The only downside of these sandals is that the bottom is very thin. I wouldn't recommend these shoes for intense outdoor play (like what my 3 year old does) but they are great for a little boy (or girl) learning to walk. I would definitely buy it again for a baby or early walking toddler.
