I wasn't sure I would like this type of case after using the flip case for years but I really like it now. It definitely protects my new iPad (also has a protective glass installed). The color wasn't my original choice, but the red case was a great deal. Another pleasant surprise. Easy to find. It's a bit heavier and certainly thicker than what you're used to, but works for older hands. Not happy with the loop handle on the back as it limits the ability to lean on objects while in use and/or makes the stand awkward to use. I wish it could be removed without destroying the device.
