Review on πŸ”§ GEAR AID Wetsuit Repair Kit: Neoprene Patch for Seam and Tear Fixes, 6” x 10”, Black by Michelle Larsen

I wish I had found leggings sooner!

My god. For years I've stitched holes in leggings caused by "chafing, swollen skin" on my inner thighs, but this only makes the surrounding fabric weaker and likely to tear/wear again. I use iron-on patches for the inside of my jeans, but I never thought I'd find a patch that was stretchy enough (and ironed!) to use on leggings. A pack of the retainer saves about 8 pairs of leggings with 1" skinny strips to strengthen the inseams. You can see I've used it where only the seams have worn but the holes haven't formed yet. If you If there are holes or the surrounding fabric is beginning to fray, use a larger patch.Tips: Heat the fabric you want to patch first, then place the iron on 1/2 of the patch until it starts to stick.Iron the rest This way you know the patch will stick where you want it. Be careful not to let the fabric stretch when you iron it. If you see a small amount of glue around the edges of the patch after ironing (see photo ), then you have heated the patch sufficiently for gluing - to be safe I always turn the fabric over once the patch is glued and iron it onto the other side
