Beautiful genuine leather bag!

I wanted a tool bag that complemented the vintage look of my new Triumph Bonneville T-120. I chose this Hide & Drink motorcycle tool bag because it is handcrafted in Guatemala from genuine full grain leather. I recently bought a similar bag from a well known American company hoping for real leather and was disappointed when they sent me a very nice synthetic bag instead. Not with this bag! The Hide & Drink bag is made of high-quality real leather. The side parts are firmly sewn on and end with metal eyelets at the ends. Each of the two leather straps is fastened with metal eyelets at the top, back and bottom and fastened with metal buckles. No velcro, buttons or plastic clips like some other bags. The bag attaches to the bike with two horizontal leather straps that fasten with buckles inside the bag. This is probably enough to support a toolbox and a few small items. I wish the straps were a little more durable. If I decide to carry my heavy chain in my bag, I'll probably want to add some zippers or velcro to carry the extra weight. Horizontal loops would be ideal for attaching to the front fork, but I may need to add straps to attach to the bar behind my seat. The bag is supposed to be weather resistant but I'll probably coat it with mink oil or leather silicone sealer to repel water. Faux leather bags are probably more rainproof, but this bag is beautiful and will only get more beautiful with time.
