For my TV, BR, DVD, Cable TV, it's perfect for basic functions like channel, volume but not configuration. Great to use as a remote and keep the OEM stock with all the advanced features, they are very difficult to replace. Pros: This remote control does what it promises. Very ergonomic, feels good in the hand. The buttons are clearly visible. in the right place to easily get AAA x 2 Quality feel, durable plastic, good solid buttons and clear lettering. The LED flashes with each key press. It works with your gadget before you buy it. I've found this to be the easiest to program: PRESS AND HOLD SEARCH CODE until LED lights up. Code digit, LED goes out, if not, PRESS ENTER Use the remote control to check if the programming is correct. Repeat for each device ie TV, DVD, VCR etc. To program without entering a code, do the following: DEVICE SEARCH CODE PRESS AND HOLD until the LED lights up. PRESS any button for a powered device: TV, DVD, VCR, etc., the LED indicator will flash and stay on. PAIR THE REMOTE CONTROL WITH THE DEVICE PRESS THE OFF BUTTON UNTIL THE DEVICE IS OFF [this may take a while or may not work if the remote control does not work with your device!] PRESS ENTER within 4 seconds or it will explode , so repeat from above. Use the remote control to verify that the programming is correct. Repeat for each device like TV, DVD, VCR etc. I bought 4 of these and tried both programming methods out of curiosity.
