This was nothing short of a frustrating exercise. I chose them because they are competitively priced but you get what you pay for. Available in two major home stores, the two brands were very easy to use. You strip the wire, line up the correct color in the correct slot, use a punch tool (this tool worked great with the TRENDnet Punch Down Tool with the 110 and the Krone Blade TC-PDT) trimming the excess wire, and close the cover to secure the wires. However, these trapezoidal plugs did not close securely and the wires were not securely fixed in the slots. I already had half a dozen other brands installed when I tried to use them and after several unsuccessful attempts I spent $10 on HD or Lowest and bought a well known brand. The wires were never connected and there were open connections on every attempt when I used my testing tool. Avoid at all costs.
